In addition to assisting the Gregory School with master planning and incremental campus upgrades, we were asked to offer modest recommendations for a re-branding effort that had run into difficulties.

First, we suggested that the typeface be sharpened slightly in order to be more expressive of the sharpness and precision and excellence the school expected of its students as well as itself.

Second, we offered the possibility that the logo be expressed 3 dimensionally in all of the school's collateral. While this would require more attention to graphics and printing in the future, it would more powerfully express the school's emphasis on graduating fully-expressed, multi-dimensional students.

Third, we offered a graphic alternative to also address the aspirational nature of the Gregory School program. We hoped to express the way the Gregory School encourages it's students to reach for the sky.

Fourth, to pare down the design to it's essentials, we offered a number of letterhead options utilizing type without further effects.

Our efforts gained traction and support with some factions of the school, but the investment in a more conventional approach was already sufficient to dissuade the Board of Directors from approving our designs.
